Mornings at Little Funky House begin in Louise & Ray’s Diner, our cozy, cheerful breakfast nook where comfort, community, and a little funk come together.

Breakfast is homemade, thoughtfully prepared, and inspired by what’s fresh and local. You may wake up to soft scrambled eggs from our neighborhood hens, served alongside blue-grit cornbread topped with fresh berries and rich Louisiana Steen’s syrup. Another morning might bring fresh apple French toast, or flaky homemade biscuits drizzled with local honey—just a few of the rotating favorites from our kitchen.

Every breakfast is served with fresh juice and coffee brewed from beans sourced from our favorite local coffee shop, because great mornings deserve great coffee.

Our menu changes with the seasons and availability, but one thing never changes: breakfast at Louise & Ray’s is made with care, shared with joy, and meant to be savored—just like your stay.

Little Funky House is a great little funky secret! Nestled in a great friendly neighborhood with lots of trees. Quiet and very comfortable. Inside is a treasure. So many novel things to look at and let your imagination wander. Beds are super comfy and bathroom has nice amenities. There is a screen porch for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. Kitchen has everything you need. The breakfast delivery in the morning was so nice and hot. A specialty coffee machine is a decadent touch. Last but not least you are minutes away from the lake and 30 minutes away from everything in Dallas to explore. The hosts, Nickie and Tricia are very personal and will assist you in anything you need! We will definitely be back!

This whimsical,charming and super cozy B&B is an absolute gem! The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive without ever being intrusive. Their love for the Funky Little House shows in every single thoughtful detail. The house was spotless, comfortable and decorated with local and vintage flair.
Homemade breakfast was another highlight, freshly prepared and enjoyed on the peaceful screened in porch overlooking the garden.
The location makes it easy to explore the area but we also loved just relaxing at the house as there were so many things to look at and enjoy. The peaceful setting and wonderful neighborhood left us feeling uplifted, refreshed and talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend! Thank you!!

The Little Funky House is a special, magical little gem, tucked away in an equally as magical neighborhood. The hosts are so friendly and warm, and you can really feel the love they poured into making the space inviting, cozy, and full of charm! It was fun to explore and see all of the interesting and eclectic little details in every room. They really thought of everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. Though the neighborhood is quiet and super peaceful, I especially loved how close the house is to White Rock Lake for long walks, or resting on a bench to take it all in. Absolutely recommend a stay!

The Funky Little House is the sort of place Alice might have wandered into had Wonderland felt a bit more like home. Nestled inside Dallas yet somehow delightfully apart from it, the neighborhood is a patchwork of quirks and colors. The house itself is a curious little haven—an oasis where painted walls and local art conspire to lift the spirit, and homemade breakfasts and handmade treats remind you that magic often hides in the everyday. All three of us come from corporate backgrounds where stewardship and operations were our bread and butter.

When we stepped away from our industries, our hands and hearts suddenly became still, and we found ourselves asking: “How do we serve?”
